Happy Birthday Haziq Naufal

Haziq turned 7 yesterday (17/3/2013). Happy Birthday to Haziq, my nephew lah who else... Celebrated with family and friends, together with his cousin, my niece, Eimani whose birthday is tomorrow (19/3/2013).
 
I baked Haziq's cake. Eimani's cake, her mother belikan sendiri... A special request from the birthday boy...He wants a strawberry cake, with lots of strawberries and also a picture of trasformer on the cake...
Her mother suggested me to make a sponge cake of chocolate and strawberry, layered with fresh cream and strawberry filling. I also added fresh strawberry in between the layer.
Alhamdulillah the cake was a hit. Birthday boy suka, guests pun suka.... tapi mama birthday boy komplen dapat makan kek sikiiit je...and filling strawberry tak banyak..hehehe oklah next time letak banyak sikit... Thank you Julie...

Puding Trifle

Frustnya....masak kek tak jadi...kerepot-kerepet bentuknya...hahahaha...tapi lembut...boleh makan..kek masak, lembut dan sedap..cumaaaa rupa bentuknya je ntah mana silapnya...kalau dah rupa bentuk macam tu..macamana nak deco...tak retilah...nanti kalau trim sana trim sini, jadi kecik pulak keknya nanti...hehehehe... so buatlah kek lain..Alhamdulillah...
So kek yang rupa bentuk tak cantik tu saya buat puding trifle lah jawabnya... untuk family makan, ada jugaklah faedahnya...hihihi....
Sedapppp sangat makan sejuk-sejuk... Alhamdulillah...
Bahan yang saya gunakan:
A
Sponge cake atau swiss roll cake or any cake...lady fingers pun boleh

B
400ml susu segar (resepi asal susu cair 1 tin...tapi susu cair xde, saya ganti fresh milk)
400ml air
4 sm tepung custard
5-6 sm gula
- campurkan semua dan masak atas api sederhana...sentiasa kacau sehingga pekat dan berkilat

C
1 tin besar buah peach atau fruit cocktail

D
1 kotak Crystal Jelly (saya guna perisa Raspberry). Masak ikut arahan seperti di belakang kotak

Ada A,B,C,D bermakna ada 4 layerlah tu....
Mula-mula, susun kek sponge kat bekas kaca/tupperware (lutsinar)
Then renjiskan kek dengan air gula daripada fruit cocktail...basahkan kek
Kemudian masak custard hingga pekat dan berkilat dan lapiskan atas kek tadi
Susunkan pula buah-buahan dalam tin ke atas lapisan custard tadi...susunlah banyak mana pun...
Last sekali masak jeli seperti arahan di kotak dan tuangkan jelly yang dah masak tadi atas susunan buah-buahan tadi.
Biarkan hingga sejuk sikit, then masukkan dalam fridge...biar sejuk betul barulah boleh dihidangkan...sebab makan masa sejuk-sejuk sedap dan nyamannnn...nyummmm
Tengoklah kek yang tak jadi ni....hikhikhik... nampak gambar macam elok..tapi tak cantik sebenarnya...sangat tidak memuaskan hati sebenarnya...

Jem Durian

isi durian yang telah dipisahkan drp bijinya
This is the last stock of durian in the freezer. Lepas ni stock durian kembali pada musim durian lagi bersama-sama dengan Durian Crepe....

Ok yang terakhir yang ada sikit ni nak buat apa...? ok jom buat jem jelah...yang paling senang...
Dah jadi jem....sedapppp

Sukatan agak-agak je...
Isi durian
Gula (semasa kacau2 tu, rasalah gula dah cukup ke blm...jgnlah manis sangat ye...nnt dpt penyakit...lagipun kalau manis gula sgt, rasa durian hilang nnt)
Air

Masak semuanya di atas api kecil, sentiasa kacau sehingga pekat dan berkilat...
Sejukkan dan dah boleh makan...sementara tu cuit-cuit yang sisa2 kat senduk tu..wahhh sedapnyaaaa.... makan gitu je pun sedap dah...
Makanlah dengan roti ke...lempeng ke...kek ke...ikut selera masing-masinglah...

Crispy Almond Flakes Cookies

Another alternative to finish up your egg white...asyik buat pavlova je kan... ehhh pernah buat pavlova ke...? hahahha bukan kita..orang lainlah..yang asyik buat pavlova je tu kan..bolehlah kalau nak buat cookies ni pulak....

Biskut ni kena buat senipis yang boleh...lagi nipis lagi sedap dan crunchy...kalau tebal, memanglah tak best... found this recipe kat nasilemaklover. Thank you for sharing ye...

Crispy Almond Flakes cookies
2 egg whites
60g caster sugar
50g all purpose flour
100g Almond flakes
25g butter (melted)

1. Lightly beat egg white and sugar till sugar dissolved.
2. Add in flour, almond flakes and melted butter, combine well.
3. Spoon mixture on a non-stick baking sheet, and use the back of spoon to spread the mixture to round thin shape (make it as thin as possible).
4. Bake at pre-heated oven for 13-15mins at 160c or until golden brown.


* saya spread kan adunan tu dlm tray 10inx10in...spread evenly kasi nipis... tapi resultnya taklah senipis mana..nipislah juga tp ada juga bahagian yg tertebal... kalau boleh buat dua loyang...spread kat loyang 7inx7in buat 2 loyang, rasanya akan jadi lebih nipis barulah betul2 crunchy...
