Musim buah di Malaysia

Balik dr kem hari keluarga, sepanjang tepi jalan byk org jual buah-buahan Malaysia.... durian, jagung, pulasan, manggis, ubi, rambutan.... oh buah-buahan Malaysia..sentiasa menjadi pujaan...

singgah beli jagung mutiara ni...balik terus rebus, terus habis...masing2 tak menyempat...
Manggis memang favourite...pantang nmpk org jual manggis, emmm sedap... Mangga.....heaven...
 Langsat...like..like...like...
Pulasan ni sangat manis...my son tanya, mcmana nk kopek buah ni... i told them nama buah ni Pulasan...so can you figure out how...? pandainya anak2 ibu...yes they can figure it out...nak kopek, pulas je...

 

Cake Hari Keluarga

Hari Keluarga Mastuki Tuminah 2011...Pertama kali diadakan...sangat2 seronok walaupun tak cukup korum..Keluarga sebelah suami ni sangatlah ramai...12org adik-beradik, 10 lelaki...tu diaaa..tinggal sorang je masih bujang...mak mertua dah ada 33 org cucu, paling besar dah masuk university, paling kecik umur 5 bulan...

Hari Keluarga baru2 ni buat di sini (blogspot), atau blh refer sini (fb), kem motivasi kendalian by one of the Mastuki brothers. Tapi gambar hari keluarga xdelah...tu semua gambar2 peserta kem...mana2 sekolah or sapa2 yang nk buat kem motivasi tu bolehlah hubungi nama tertera di blogspot dan fb tu...seronok....aiii promote free ni...hihihi

Tapi nak tayang kek-kek yang ditempah oleh ahli keluarga....terima kasih buat family yang bongsu, Faisal aka adik dan wifey Eliz sbb suka sgt nk tempah Red Velvet Cake..2 biji tau... Pastu nak thank you to my beloved ever lasting husband coz menempah Brownies dan Cheese cake...suka tau....hehehe...

Yang ni buat tambahan menu, I made Beef Stew with garlic bread...We had fun having BBQ at night....Party Lamb BBQ... Makan, borak, ketawa, mandi-manda, makan lagi, borak, ketawa, mandi-manda, makan lagi...smpi bila pun tak habis....and spending a night at the camp...great!

Antara Durian dan Ceri (Cherries)

Musim buah kegemaran datang lagi... Musim durian di Malaysia dan musim ceri di Australia...teringat sewaktu jalan2 di Sydney tahun lepas dlm waktu nilah...musim ceri...sedapnya, sgt manissss...sini nk beli sgtlah mahal...Luckily yesterday my sis bwk balik 1 kotak fresh ceri all the way from Aussie, dia kirim kawan dia yg bercuti di sana...haiii terubatlah rindu nak makan ceri yg manis tu...scroll down for the pictures...

Kisah durian dulu...Nyummmm memang tak dinafikan si Raja Durian ni memang begitu menggugat selera pencintanya...Tak boleh tengok durian, mesti telan air liur..tak sabar nak masuk dalam mulut...hahaha...belum tengok isi durian lagi, baru tgk buahnya yang berduri2 tu pun dah selera...camno? tapi ada juga anak tempatan yang tak suka makan, xpelah..selera masing2...Teringat dulu waktu kecik2, kalau musim durian, abah akan bawak balik 1 bakul durian...dulu beli tak mainlah plastik2, siap bakul lagi....haha..1 bakul tu makan 6 beranak memang puas..so memang dah diterapkan gila makan durian sejak dari kecik lagi..sampai besar la ni dok meroyan setiap kali musim durian...now i'm teaching my children to love durian...

Selain makan begitu saja (paling sedap, especially yang pahit2 tu...) durian juga boleh diolah menjadi dessert ataupun pembuka selera... Dessert seperti durian pancake, bubur durian, dan macam2 kuih-muih...pembuka selera yg paling famous...tempoyak...sedap mkn ngan nasi panas2..

Nutella Brownies

My sister came back from Sydney and brought home few large jars of the delicious Nutella...It's cheaper in Sydney and worth buying...so why not grab the opportunity? My sons love the taste very much...Who would resist chocolate? I myself couldn't stop linking the chocolate till the very end..eat just like that...hahaha well that's me..the chocolate lover...ahhhh very much!!!

Since my sis gave me 6 jars, so what would be the best besides eating it with bread? Let's try google some Nutella recipes..it'll be fun... and look what I've found...Nutella Brownies...a very easy yet delicious brownies...got this simple recipe from the site as attached.

This is absolutely simple...easy....using only 4 ingredients...you do not need a mixer to do it...just a spatula... please try it yourself...

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Nutella spread
  • 1 large egg
  • 5 tablespoons all=purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
Instructions
  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a 12-cup mini muffin pan with paper or foil liners.
  2. Put the Nutella and egg in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth and well blended. Add the flour and whisk until blended.
  3. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tins (about 3/4 full) and sprinkle with the chopped hazelnuts.
  4. Bake until a pick comes out with wet, gooey crumbs, 11 to 12 minutes. Set on a rack to cool completely. Serve immediately or cover and store at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Notes

Switch-Ins: In place of the hazelnuts, switch in one of the following:
* ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon (add with the flour)
* peanuts, chopped, 1/4 cup

The first batch (pic above), vanished in just half a day... The next day, my youngest son asked me some more...and I said to him...can you help me...? Oh he is sooo excited...don't worry, even an 8 year old boy can easily do this... see...hehehe
1 cup of Nutella...hehehe
Put 3/4 of the batter into the papercups....
Sprinkle on top with whatever u like...choc chips, choc rice or almond nibs...ready to go into the oven....
Dah siap....Ready to eat....

Donut



Here are doughnuts...i loveee doughnuts...especially the ones sprinkle with fine sugar...that's the traditional doughnuts..now there are lots kinds of doughnuts..it has been commercialized into more colourful, shaped doughnuts with variety of fillings. Wow!!! love them.. But..i like to make the original doughnuts..why..hehehe it's easylah..as easy as 123 hahaha... or at least piped a little of blueberry..just nice when the sweet and sour combined...

Here's the recipe:

A
3 cups of flour
3 tbsp castor sugar
3 tbsp shortening
3 tbsp milk powder

B
200 ml warm water
2 tsp dry yeast

Combined B...then combined B into A.. Knead till form a dough and knead up to 5-10mins and the dough does not stick to your finger and the bowl as well... then shape as you like...then let it rise double for at least 20mins...then fry till brownies...then let the doughnuts roll into castor sugar or icing sugar...or melted chocolate...nyummmmm

Happy Birthday Haikal

It's Angry Bird phenomena... Everybody wants an Angry Bird cake...But not just cakes...balloons, bags, shirts, caps, pencil cases, everything is Angry Bird... Well..they're cute though... It all started with a game..who invented this? i don't even know how to play the game..hahaAnyway....Thanks to the best supportive friend ever...Ms Khairul, who excitedly ordered this Angry Bird cake for her eldest son, Amar Haikal who turned 13 on the 5/12/2011. Happy Birthday Haikal, hope you like the cake very much, just like how my kids love it and wish that their mom will do the same cake for them next time..haha kids...

Wish i could hold it and hug it tightly....haha

Kole Kacang

Now in the mood of trying out various of Talam... Heeeheeee...This is Kole Kacang, made of green peas...sgt sedap...kegemaran suami dan juga anak-anak..asal pergi pasar malam je...kole kacang.. So sang isteri ni pun mengambil kesempatan utk mencuba membuatnya sendiri demi kepuasan suami dan anak-anak... hasilnya...taraaaa...eh terror juga ye saya buat kole kacang ni hahaha sori..terpaksa masuk bakul angkat sendiri..mereka semua memuji akan kesedapnnya...

Bahan-bahan ( 7-8 orang )
  • ** 1 cwn santan pekat
  • * 1 cawan gula merah
  • * 2 sb gula pasir
  • * 1 cwn air
  • * beberapa helai daun pandan disimpul
  • 2 cwn santan
  • 1 cwn tepung kacang hijau
  • secubit garam

Cara-cara

  1. Masak bahan ** sehingga menjadi tahi minyak. Apabila siap, ambil tahi minyak yg terhasil dan biarkan lebihan minyaknya dlm kuali.
  2. Masak bahan bertanda* sehingga gula larut sejukkan dan ketepikan dulu.
  3. Masukkan tepung kacang hijau, santan, garam dan air gula merah dlm satu bekas kacau hingga sebati.
  4. Masukkan adunan tadi dlm kuali yg berisi lebihan minyak kelapa tadi.Selalu di kacau agar tak bergentel nanti. Masak hingga pekat, tuang adunan dlm bekas atau loyang.
  5. Bila adunan sejuk bolehlah dipotong, terlebih dulu taburkan dgn tahi minyak... Siap...
