Happy Birthday Khaizuran and Yasmin

Majlis harijadi untuk dua beradik ni sangat meriah diadakan di Klang Executive Club (KEC). Berbagai aktiviti dilakukan....yang paling meriah adalah permainan2 yg disediakan oleh Badut yang dijemput.

Haida my friend ordered 2 cakes and cupcakes for this event. Let's take a look at the cakes.
Both cakes are Red Velvet cakes. Her family's favourite she said. Her 7th year old only daughter requested a Princess Aurora cake... while her 10 year old son requested a Beyblade cake. I had so much fun decorating both cakes. The bottom cake is layered and topped with cream cheese frosting and the doll princess is better covered with fondant. Phew.... a bit sweat. Haha... fun though.

The Beyblade cake is the most challenging. The cake is layered anf topped with cream cheese frosting. Not much decorating on the cake but the challenge is to make the logo. It's first time experiencing painting on a fondant with edible coloured pens. Looks easy but it takes hours to complete. Phew...lots of sweat.haha but I satisty with the outcome. Alhamdulillah. Credit to my husband who has helped me a lot.

Nasi Daging Simple.....sangat

Dah lama nak buat Nasi Daging ni. Teringin bila tengok ada kawan post kat FB. Sebelum ni tak pernah makan. Cuba cari resipi di internet. Nasi Daging ni kawannya cuma air asam je. Bunyinya macam unik. Di kesempatan ada daging kat rumah ni...beras basmathi pun ada... bahan2 lain pun ada...dah complete dah ni. Jom kita buat...

Nasi Daging. Resipi dr blog Ethos. Saya ambik resipi ni sbb sgt ringkas dan bhn pun ada...yeay...
Bahan-bahan:
1 biji bawang besar (dihiris)
1/2 inci halia (dihiris)
3 cawan beras basmathi
1 paket perencah Nasi Daging (boleh digantikan dengan rempah kurma)
250 gram daging batang pinang
Bunga lawang dan kulit kayu manis
Garam secukup rasa dan kiub daging/ayam
Air rebusan daging secukupnya mengikut jumlah sukatan beras. Tmbh air biasa kalau x cukup (sukatan beras : air = 1 : 1.5)

Cara Membuatnya:
1. Rebus daging sehingga empuk dan asingkan air rebusan dan daging. Air rebusan jangan dibuang kerana akan digunakan untuk memasak nasi daging nanti.
2. Basuh beras sehingga bersih dan rendamkan 10 minit kemudian toskan.
3. Bancuh perencah nasi daging dengan sedikit air sehingga menjadi pes.
4. Dalam periuk, panaskan 8 sudu makan minyak masak. Kemudian tumiskan hirisan bawang besar diikuti bunga lawang dan kulit kayu manis serta halia dan kemuadiannya tumiskan sekali perencah yang telah dibancuh tadi sehingga naik bau.
5. Selepas itu masukkan air rebusan daging, kacau sebati dan tunggu sehingga mendidih.
6. Selepas mendidih, pindahkan kesemua bahan-bahan tadi masuk ke dalam rice cooker. Kemudian masukkan beras dan juga daging, kacau sekejap kemudian masak nasi seperti biasa.
7. Apabila nasi sudah masak, biarkan selama 15 minit. Kemudian dengan menggunakan garfu gemburkan nasi. Tujuan menggunakan garfu ialah supaya nasi peroi dengan elok.
8. Untuk hidangan, taburkan bawang goreng dan juga daun sup dan daun bawang.

AIR ASAM
Bahan-bahan
• * 2 biji cili besar di potong
• * 10-15 biji cili padi dipotong
• * ½ cawan air asam jawa
• * 1 inci belacan
• * Garam dan gula secukup rasa
• 2 biji tomato ( dibuang empulur/ biji dan dipotong dadu)
• 1 biji bawang besar (dihiris nipis)
• 1 sudu makan kerisik

Cara membuatnya
1. Semua bahan yang bertanda * dikisar sehingga sebati.
2. Di dalam mangkuk, satukan bahan yang dikisar bersama-sama dengan tomato, bawang dan juga kerisik.
3. Kacau sehingga sebati dan siap untuk dihidangkan.

Kesimpulannya...ye...sedap Nasi Daging ni makan digaul dengan air asam. Sedap. Tapi saya kawankan juga dengan sayur kacang tumis. Tak ada sayur macam tak complete hidangan..hihihi.

Happy 16th Anniversary


Alhamdulillah... it's our 16th Anniversary. 16 years together as a husband and a wife and as a father and a mummy.... Takdelah celebrate hebat sangat... just masak-masak kt rumah je.

Today i cook Nasi Hujan Panas dengan ayam masak merah dan salad je. Sebenarnya tak sempat nk ambik gambar berhias bagai anak2 dah serbu. Maklum balik sekolah lapar...tengok Ayam masak merah apa lagi serbulah diorg... Their favourite dish.
Alhamdulillah juga sempat bake a simple cake jelah untuk makan anak-beranak. Choc moist cake with blueberry filling and fresh cream. Yummy!

Itu mkn tghari. Mkn malam kita dinner kat luar. Hehehe.

Happy Anniversary Abang. I truly madly deeply in love with you. Forever and ever. Thank you so much for everything. 

Bulan lepas celebrate husband's birthday. Percubaan dengan Aiskrim kek. Sangat mencabar sbb tak boleh lama kt luar. Kena dok dalam freezer. Kalau tak...habislah cair aiskrim tu....
